Thanks Julie. Must be stressful writing about that day. In good news- Melbourne Women have been back to the steps of parliament to discuss the unreasonable demands of the trans lobby three times since March 18, 2023. The chanting trans activists always include Dan Andrew’s claim that we’re Nazi’s 😳 The Police did a great job last weekend keeping us safe from the angry activists.

That is definitely good news! I wouldn't even be writing about March 2023 if it wasn't for the pollies who caused immense damage and have refused accountability.

This is an important piece that needs to be widely read. The disgraceful treatment of these women by Pessuto and by the state government, is laid out in this piece with a powerful, controlled fury.

Thrilled to hear you say that Michael! Thank you.

Great piece Julie, even if your calm and charitable tone towards the Hon Mr Pesutto MP is much more gracious than he desreves regarding his shameful, optics over truth, women-dumping exercise in electoral pragmatics last year (and to the present). But could the Vic Libs actually be trying to be an opposition and give recognition to the need for women's only safe places? If that is really the case, then your clam and charatable approach is an understandable attempt to gently fan a mere spark of sanity into a small but reasonable flame. And many thanks for telling us Angie Jones' story. What an inspiring and corageous woman. Please also keep us posted on Moira Deemings ongoing struggle with the Vic Libs, and on her amazing work for women's rights.

Thanks Paul. Angie is a true warrior. And re the Liberals.. well, there's always hope.

Thanks Julie, a great overview of what happened at the Melbourne Let Women Speak Rally. I reckon Pesutto is just sorry that his media/office/PR advisers rely on wikipedia to inform him. Really if the Libs had any chance of voting turnaround next election he should immediately allow Moira Deeming back into the Liberal fold.... Even put her on the front bench as the "Womens' Shadow" Minister? That's if Moira wants anything to do with a political party that seems to fall in line with the ALP/Greens repeat after me ...."Trans Woman are Women" myth. Really once people realise that under the 2021 Vic The Change or Suppression (Conversion) Practices Act their children, grandchildren can be removed from the family home if the parent/guardian dare to question their want to "change their sex" and go down the "gender identity affirming" road to medicalisation to achieve this want . Knowing that fact surely concerned people they'll vote to put a stop to that.

And can the media radio/ TV and newspapers STOP calling the "Let Women Speak Rally" an "anti-Trans Rally" The words used here are important and make the women involved the enemy, whereas its is the trans and their activists who are the ones out to cause trouble.....no doubt some of the same persons camping out on the University campuses now and of course Pro-Hamas? the ones who feed the media headlines, but never show their faces.

Yes there's certainly some overlap Susan. And for sure calling the rally "anti trans" caused a great deal of damage to people who had every right to express reasonable views.

Thank you Julie for writing about Ange and the significant hurt, distress and damage she has suffered because of Pesutto and Andrews. She's one of our own and inspires many in the movement, including me.

And thank you for raising the issue of economic class. It has struck me from when I first became involved in 2018 that the people I know who parrot the TWAW line happen also to be privileged twats who will be the last to experience the viciousness of gender ideology. But experience it they will.

Thank you Anna. And I agree, class is a very under-examined feature of this madness.

Great article and so pleased to see your support for Ange who has really put everything into fighting this awful ideology. Adam Bandt, and other Greens in leadership positions, also has a lot to answer for.

🙏 Where to even start with Adam Bandt? The Greens require an expose all of their own.

When will a politician realise that women make up half the vote and fortunately only a small number of them put gender ideology ahead of the safety of their own sex? At a time when violence against women is rightfully being raised as an urgent issue, surely it would be good policy to stare down the progressive minority and declare that women will be safer in the spaces they have traditionally exclusively occupied by removing biological men from them.

Yes one would think so.

A great piece. And btw in Britain following on from the Cass enquiry they have just banned giving out hormone . Puberty blockers. Those women - remember that word- were treated disgracefully.

Yes very interesting developments in the UK as always. Are you back Debbie?

Thank you so much for your writing Julie, you have expressed my thoughts and more. I totally agree with you about the importance of the Libs coming to terms with this issue as women’s rights to safety and spaces as well as the puberty blocker/ medicalisation/ institutionalised gender ideology capture , will be winning policy platforms at the next election. So many many people are still unaware of these issues and as they realise their votes will be a gift to the Libs. so much to say ….thank you again.

Thank you Fiona. You're right, this issue won't go away.
