Since the centre-left's capitulation to economic neoliberalism the old dichotomy of left (progressive & pro-labour) and right (conservative & pro-boss) is gone. Today the majority in nations like Aus & USA face a choice between two pro-boss parties - one of which goes out of its way to demonstrate its contempt towards you.
I've been a social-democrat all my life but I've come to the conclusion some kind of populist wave is required to wash all this away. So strangely I'm actually hoping Trump will won, if only for the satisfaction of seeing those smug faces contort.
